The Angel Tree – Lucinda Riley

Thirty years after leaving Marchmont Hall, Greta Marchmont returns to the grand Welsh estate for Christmas at the invitation of her old friend David. A tragic accident has erased much of her memory, leaving the truth about her past tantalisingly out of reach.

A forgotten grave in the woods and an angel carved into a tree begin to unlock events long buried. As secrets emerge, Greta and those around her are drawn into a sweeping story of love, loss, deception, family, and second chances spanning generations.

Moving between the Welsh countryside and London’s glittering theatre world, The Angel Tree delivers Lucinda Riley’s signature blend of atmospheric historical fiction, emotional romance, and a family mystery filled with revelations.

Rated approximately 4.16/5 on Goodreads from more than 30,000 ratings. Readers praise its compelling mystery, emotional storytelling, and memorable characters. Some find parts predictable, but many describe it as an absorbing and satisfying page-turner.
