Freefall – Jessica Barry

A plane crash leaves a woman fighting to survive in the wilderness while, elsewhere, her mother refuses to accept the story she has been told. As their dual narratives close in on the truth, wealth, hidden agendas, and dangerous conspiracy turn a missing-woman mystery into a race for survival.

Freefall blends wilderness escape with domestic suspense, a powerful mother-daughter bond, and fast-moving secrets told through dual perspectives. Short chapters and constant danger make it an easy thriller to power through.

Rated 3.80/5 on Goodreads from over 12,800 readers. Fans praise its pace, survival elements, and intertwined mother-daughter storyline, calling it a pulpy, plot-driven read. Some seasoned thriller readers found the twists predictable and felt the mystery relied more on sustained suspense than shock reveals.
